Again I dropped off and I have to apologize. I had one of my best friends in the entire world come visit and i went dark! I had to take a moment to enjoy my short visit with her. I literally didn't pick up my phone for most of her visit. Twice, I went to bed without charging it because the battery was at about 60%... Anyway... today it's time to get back into gear and focus again. I, thankfully started today with a little meditation and was able to get moving before the kiddos woke up. That, in itself is a feat!

So... onto the good stuff...

Everyone is always knocking it, everyone is always saying no to our amazing smoothie so here is a little info to help you "get it"

SHAKEOLOGY - SIP ON THIS!!

I was a huge skeptic when it came to Shakeology (shakes in general) when I first joined a Challenge Group (6 months ago). I thought it was too expensive and I couldn't see how a protein shake could have any impact on my health. As a coach, I've seen over the past few months that it's impossible to teach the "value" of Shakeology, but I can at least teach you WHAT it is (NOT a protein shake) and WHY it works to help feed our bodies the nutrients it needs.

Drinking Shakeology DAILY supports the health of your body. Drinking it once in awhile,

letting it pile up on your pantry shelves, doesn't support your health! Think about it...it's just like brushing your teeth 2 times a week doesn't keep bad breath and cavities away. Exercising once a week doesn't get results. Drinking your Shakeology a couple of times a week doesn't give you a consistent dose of dense nutrition, and you probably wouldn't even notice that it does anything for your body. Tell me if this cycle sounds familiar to you: We start a “diet,” we’re gung-ho, we know what we’re going to do and everything is laid out. For the first 4 or 5 days, you lose weight pretty quickly. You’ve cut your calories down and you’re working out and have gotten off to a pretty good start.

But then. Around 10-14 days, nutrient deficiency kicks in.

You’ve heard of the RDA, recommended daily allowance, right? RDA is based on an average 2000- calories per day. If you’re dieting, you’re most likely not eating 2000 calories and, on top of that, you’re exercising (so, burning even more calories than you were before you started the diet). It’s almost impossible to cut your calories without subsequently cutting your volume of nutrients. And that’s where people often fail (and then blame it on lack of willpower, etc). It's around 10-14 days that nutrient deficiency catches up with you. At that point, your body is screaming for nutrients and THAT comes across as cravings. Cravings are the body’s way of saying I need more of X, Y & Z. You become irritable and grouchy and you just don’t feel well. You’re out with your friends and everyone is eating chicken wings and you think, “I feel like crap and I deserve this,” so you then gorge on food and feel guilty.

This is one reason why people yo-yo diet. If your body is getting ALL the nutrients and calories (aka fuel) it needs, your cravings go away, you have more energy, you feel better and you do more. So weight loss becomes a BYPRODUCT of good nutrition.

But we do it backwards. We cut our calories, cut our nutrition, and then ask our bodies to MOVE MORE and wonder why we feel miserable. No one is going to stick with something if they feel miserable, right?

This is why Shakeology makes such a huge difference. It is providing your body with the nutrients it needs on a daily basis...filling in the gaps. When you drink it daily, it builds up in your system and you won’t be the grouchy, hangry, and tired “yo-yo” dieter that you once were!

Can you lose weight without Shakeology? Yes, absolutely! Clinical Study Results You can eat whole foods at a caloric deficit and lose weight, but you’re still likely going to be nutrient deficient.
